≈ Living History Month ≈
August is Living History Month! Every Friday (8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th) from 2:00 – 4:00 we will have community interpreters bring the museum to life! Visit four displays set in different time periods and experience the concerns and daily existence of former island residents! It will be a fun afternoon, please drop by!
≈ Blacksmithing Demo’s and Classes ≈
Blacksmithing demonstrations take place Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00 during July and August. For information about classes please see our Blacksmithing Page.
≈ Kids Day at the Museum ≈
Friday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00 July 4, July 11, July 18, July 25 & Aug. Cost $5.00 per child, family rates available. Limited spaces, pre-registration recommended.
Friday July 4 – “A Bugs Life” – Join us for an exciting time exploring the insect kingdom! Crafts, games and cool facts! Ages 4 – 10
Friday July 11 – “Under the Sea” – What lives in the ocean around us? Join us as we take a dive into the magical world under the sea! Ages 4 – 10
Friday July 18 – “Artful Antics” – Get ready for a morning filled with creativity, fun and new friends. Join us for a hands-on art experience like no other. Let your imagination run wild as you explore different art mediums and techniques. Ages 4 – 10
Friday July 25 – “Raiders of the Lost Artifact” – Get ready for a thrilling morning filled with treasure hunts, obstacle courses, and adventures that will spark your imagination and your sense of discovery! Ages 5 to 10
Friday Aug. 1 – Robotics Camp – If you like science and technology join us for a morning of creativity and learn more about robotics! Ages 7 – 12

≈ Tea In The Museum ≈
Wednesday afternoons July 2 to Aug. 27 from 2:00 – 4:00. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, treats and conversation. $6.00 for IMHS members, $8.00 non-members.
Annual Book Sale : Saturday Sept. 6th 10:00 – 2:00 in the Boat Barn on the Lower Site, 708 Veterans Memorial Dr., Arichat.
