≈ Summer Learning Series ≈

≈ Living History Month ≈

August is Living History Month! Every Friday (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th) from 2:00 – 4:00 we will have community interpreters bring the museum to life! Visit four displays set in different time periods and experience the concerns and daily existence of former island residents! It will be a fun afternoon, please drop by!

≈ Blacksmithing Demo’s and Classes ≈

Blacksmithing demonstrations take place Thursday and Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00 during July and August. For information about classes please see our Blacksmithing Page.

Friday mornings 10:30 to 12:00 July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24 & July 31

Cost $8.00 per child, family rates available. Limited spaces, pre-registration recommended.

Friday July 3 – “Builders” – Join us for an exciting time building with different materials! Ages 4 – 10

Friday July 10 – “Time Travelers” – Fire up your time machines and get ready to go on a journey through the ages! Explore of the past through hands-on activities that blend creativity, craftsmanship, and games from different eras! Ages 6 – 12

Friday July 17 – “Mad Science” – If you like science experiments join us for a morning of creativity and learn more ! Ages 6 – 12

Friday July 24 – “Junk Art” – Get ready for a morning filled with creativity, fun and new friends. Join us for a hands-on art experience like no other. Let your imagination run wild as you explore different art mediums and techniques. Ages 4 – 12

Friday July 31 – Clown School – Join us for a morning of fun at Clown School! Learn a few magic tricks, juggling, face painting and more clown skills! Ages 6 – 12

Wednesday afternoons July 2 to Aug. 27 from 2:00 – 4:00. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, treats and conversation. $8.00 for IMHS members, $10.00 non-members.
